Very nicely done...hell, this is amazing! Thatīs how Iīve been imagining the comic-joker like forever, and then you come up and just pull it off! They should cast you in the next batman movie, thatīs how good this cosplay is. And your smile is just priceless. -I think now we can all understand Harleyīs obsession with him...with you...
I seriously admire your devotion and attention to detail. I've seen you at Comic-Con a few times and I'm especially wowed by your makeup! I've done some work with theatrical makeup and am curious about what you use/how long it takes. In any case, it ROCKS.
I have two things to say, one being that I've seen your cosplay pictures on Reddit and DA a TON and they're all amazing. These few just add to how unbelievable it is. And two, I'll bring the whoopee cushion.
Thank you so much, sincerely. I've never been big on cosplaying, but I always loved the joker character, and always felt that I had never seen (at least in my personal opinion) a truly GREAT costume - something that just jumped out at me as being both very true to the comics while bridging that gap and making it real world at the same time, not cartoonish or campy. So I figured I'd take a crack at it, and like all projects I start, I ended up diving in so deeply and obsessing over every detail until it was complete, until was perfect - or at least as close as I can come.
All the previous photos that were floating around the net of this costume are of it's prior incarnation, almost every inch has been fine tuned and improved upon since then (that was in late March), what you see above in this new collage is the costume in it's final state (well, close enough - I'm getting a little more work done on the spats, but that's not terribly important right now). It fits a thousand times better than before, and anything before that was BOUGHT, has been replaced by things that were MADE, to my designs, my specifications, with materials I chose and augmented personally. Even the unique patterned material that I chose to make the shirt cuffs out of - that odd green floral design - I took a yellow fabric pen and colored every single flower petal on that fabric slightly more yellow (so there'd be more variations to the green).
Bottom line I suppose is, "Hey! Thanks!", lol, because a lot went into it, and I'm glad everyone appreciates the final product.
When I first saw it I was blown away. There are a lot of Joker cosplays but this is one of the few that I went "Welp...that is the Joker if I've ever seen him."
I'm a cosplayer myself and I often find myself obsessing over every little detail as well. You want to do the character justice and to make people go "wow that's awesome." when they do it's smiley tears all over the place. haha.
